At Shrewsbury Folk Festival, on good form. Photos from last weekend.
Most of our chums left this morning, leaving just Jo - and Heather for a bit. Went up to the site early for breakfast and a huge wait at Moor and Coast for my fave veggie sausage sandwich.
Thought I'd be late for our informal 'playing like Leveret' session but made it in time. A very pleasant morning with Gina, the two Johns, Julian, Liz and Jo.
Mix of playing and listening to music the rest of the day. Old Spot old time duo were excellent as was Lil Jim, a one man cajun band. Ended up doing some of the cajun dance workshop with Jo. Also briefly saw Jo M who'd come for the day, which was lovely as she is undergoing treatment for cancer.
Jo and I went on to the Berwick to see if any sessions were happening. There weren't so we bravely started our own.
Cocktails after at the bar with Dave and pizza with Grace joining us. Went on to see Spiers and Boden, standing at the main stage. Excellent as always and very dancey.
Back to the Berwick after and we first in the coveted back room. Sessioned till 1ish walking back to the hotel with Jo.
