Early morning walking buddy

I was out walking early this morning. I carry an aluminum pole with me, when I'm out in the fields. It was a pool net handle at one time and very light. I have it with me to scare away unfriendly dogs or snakes. This friendly butterfly landed on it as soon as I put it down. It let me take several pics.

I amazed at the number of different kinds of butterfies your are finding. There seems to be only one or two species around me. This one is beautifully colored. Nice capture.

@5unflow3r Thank you! I meant to answer your question last night, but I zonked out early. LOL! I have found a couple of places where there are lots of wildflowers and I watch for them there. I know the neighbors think I am a nutcase, always standing around in the hayfield. :0)
