pickmonkey -- Grrrr

June 11th, 2012
Anyone else having trouble with picmonkey? I edited a picture and it started to save it but was taking so long I left the room. I came back a good half hour later and it was still hung up.
Soo, I got out of the browser, went back in and edited the picture again and am now trying to save it again but it isn't saving. Grrr.
I've had other troubles with picmonkey, too. It gets frustrating!

Yes I often get stuck on the program where its frozen and have to start all over again - pain in the &*%$@
June 11th, 2012
It happened to me also :(
June 11th, 2012
yeah it's frozen on me too, but usually it does it a second time ok, try ipiccy site, it has similar stuff on it
June 11th, 2012
yup, does the same thing to me. I usually re-start the process!!
June 11th, 2012
Is that picmonkey from here or online? I was having the same issue using picasa and whatever online editing program they use. The connection was never made.
June 11th, 2012
Picmonkey's fine for me:S
June 11th, 2012
I've not had any problems like this yet but I do know that recently they've changed the way they size the photos, could that maybe be the problem?
June 11th, 2012
The issue I have been having is once I have loaded, editied and safed a picture, I have to completley shut down picmonkey and reopen it before I can begin another upload.
June 11th, 2012
Not having any issues with it...but then I only use it if I'm at work (oops I guess that was a slip up) or not at my own computer.

@dmortega
pickmonkey is online but 365 Project also offers it to Ace members. I don't usually use it through 365 but I just go the the picmonkey website. It seems to hiccup a lot.

@shirljess
I have that problem, too, Shirley.

I never had these problems with picnik. I miss it.

@kmrtn6
Kylie, Iv'e never heard of ipiccy. I'll have to check into that.
June 11th, 2012
I Dont have a problem myself , but i don't use it from the 365 link ... I wonder if its a location thing ... i am in the UK

i just go direct http://www.picmonkey.com/# i am actually finding it quicker than Picnik ....
June 11th, 2012
@steveh
Steve, I don't go through the 365 link either. I have the problem when I go straight to the picmonkey website.
June 11th, 2012
no problem ever for me either.... although I must say I only use it ffor maye 1 or 2 pics a day max and no more than 10 minutes...
June 11th, 2012
no problems for me, except it doesn't really like Safari on a mac (it says so in the blurb), so I use google chrome to access it and it's fine
June 11th, 2012
@kmrtn6 I tried ipiccy, Kylie, and it seems to work really well. Thank you for mentioning it.
June 11th, 2012
I never have problems with Picmonkey. I use the Google Chrome browser and Picmonkey is easy peasy like a walk in the park.
June 11th, 2012
Nah no problem.. I'm also on Chrome and my comp is pretty fast.
Check that the size isn't too big in image settings. Click the setting tab at the top of the open image and select Jack or Bubbles.
June 11th, 2012
@miley89 I checked my settings and it is set to Bubbles. I wonder if it is my browser. I use Internet Explorer.

Pickmonkey doesn't always hang up. It is only some of the times. I guess I'll just have to deal with it.
June 11th, 2012
Hmmm ... Dunno. I've been using Chrome like forever now. I find it much better.
June 11th, 2012
never had a problem
June 11th, 2012
@miley89 @jsw0109 Maybe I should try Chrome. My husband likes it. Maybe that will make a difference.
June 11th, 2012
I have zero problems with picmonkey, which is really nice, but also kinda a surprise 'cause usually things like that are pretty slow on my computer....like picnik was. :)
June 11th, 2012
Last week I had a picmonkey issue that was specific to 365 - I could edit and save a photo to my computer, but if I tried to edit and save a photo to 365 (i.e., one that I had already loaded), it would never finish the save. That was frustrating. But, within 12 hours, the problem stopped.
June 11th, 2012
@mittens - glad it works for you, theres one called pixlr too but i've not done much with this one yet
June 11th, 2012
No problems with Picmonkey, and no problems with iPiccy or BeFunky. I have seen similar discussions where it was suggested the browser could be at fault. Some were using Internet Explorer and others Firefox. It seemed that the Internet Explorer browser was at issue- but that might not be true for you. Every time I've had to use Google Chrome they've wanted extra personal information from me. So I will not use them. I use Firefox.

I was editing a session last night and got through two photos in an hour. Only one of them would save. I just gave up. I thought it was just my computer. Hopefully, they will get it all worked out!
June 12th, 2012
I have had no problems with PicMonkey, I use Firefox browser and edit very large images, even when it warns me it might be slow because of the size I have had it work fine. Maybe it is a browser issue?
June 12th, 2012
You can also download PhotoScape free of charge. It works great and there won't be any browser issues,
June 12th, 2012
I go back & forth between ipccy & picmonkey.
They both freeze up and lock up on me often.
Lately I've used Ipiccy more I think it freezes less often for me.
June 12th, 2012
It happens all the time to me. I am finding it very frustrating. I don't really like ipiccy but might try PhotoScape.
June 12th, 2012
I have probs with pic monkey on certain browsers. Chrome works well
