The objective of this exercise (and other "Replicate Me" exercises to come) is to try and figure out how a given shot was created and to "Replicate" it.
Here was the image for the first challenge:
The main idea was to take the shot with the camera in the photo. "But wait," you say. "That camera isn't pointing at him!" And that's the "trick to this."
I will post a link to a short vid on how I got the shot in the first comment, using two mirrors set at 45 degrees to each other. I know, I look like a tool in the vid, oh well ;-)
A lot of people scratched their heads, but a few gave it a go and I must say the results are great! Please vote for your favorite by indicating the number of your choice. I will give it a couple days and will post the winner; who will then issue a new challenge or defer it back to me to post a new one. Good luck, and thanks for participating!
I had the technique right, but had quite a bit of a leak in my house and took not one photo all week.
I will vote for 2 since he went all out on button down shirt and the background is similar.
@peterdegraaff Don't hate on the babyface it took me a week to grow that much and there were time restrictions on the challenge. Would have been at least 3 weeks (and a little salt-n-pepper dye) to get it like @grizzlysghost ;)
