in case you're wondering, i'm pleased to let you know that Ann is okay and has this to say:
"We're out of power and staying at friend's for the moment but all is well and hopefully I'll be back on 365 in a week- maybe sooner. Then I'll have LOTS of catching up to do."

@summerfield - Thanks so much for tagging me as well. So glad Ann is fine. I have been in that situation in some other storm, and it's not easy at all. The most important is that she is fine. We are here waiting for you, Ann @olivetreeann!
I can't imagine what it must be like to have no power for a week.... still, if anyone can manage it I'm sure Ann can. Send her our love and tell her to keep safe?
I'm glad to hear that she's well! It must be so hard to be without power for such a long time... I hope everything will be restored soon and I'll pray for those that were lost and died.

I can't tell you all how much this touched my heart. Life here is slowly getting back to normal. I am overwhelmed with how much I have to catch up with. Please know that I will look at many of your photos over the next few days although I may not comment on them all. When I was able to do a quick check the other night I saw that I had 87 comments waiting to be read. Oh my!!! Our power finally came back on on Monday so thankfully we are able to take hot showers!! and such now. With our wood stove we stayed warm throughout, but we also stayed at a friend's house for a night too. My thoughts are now with many who are still without their power and the dedicated folks who are working tirelessly to restore it. Thanks again to each and every one of you! You mean so much to me!
@olivetreeann So glad you are okay and back! We got power back on Sunday. Hope the snow today is not too bad where you are. Only a couple of inches predicted here.
@nadaa Made a supermarket run yesterday to replenish some things and stock up for today's storm only to have nothing happen- which is absolutely OK!! No snow, no rain, not even a drizzle- so it looks like the storm was definitely coastal. I sure do feel bad though for the ones who are still reeling from Sandy and now this. Glad to hear that you weathered the storm as well. I do feel much better now that I'm back on 365. It was really rough the first few days when I couldn't post!!
@olivetreeann You have been in my thoughts and prayers a lot and I am glad you are well. My family back east is my brother and several of my Dad's siblings. Fortunately everyone came through OK.

@summerfield Thank you for the concern and thank you for the discussion thread. Wow- it was overwhelming to read all the comments and heartfelt concern. We will be heading up to Batavia this weekend, but we are only going to be there Saturday and Sunday. I would love to meet up, but I think it should be at a time when we have the freedom to spend a whole day together rather than squeezing in a quick, one or two hour meet up. This happens quite often with Jeff- work is slow, then busy, then slow and he's constantly changing plans to accommodate it. So what was supposed to be 3 whole days has shrunk to two. But I am bound and determined to make this work- so it will happen sometime! Thanks again for your patience with this and for the shout out to everyone on my behalf! You are a great friend!!
