@wandsphotography no story at all, really... back in August / September i was given a challenge of night photography so i went for a wander around my neighbourhood after dark and that was one of the photos i took :)
My pace quickened as I raced down the seemingly endless hallway, the entire time feeling as though I couldn't reach the end soon enough, searching, begging and crying for a way out. With each step my breath hastened faster and all I could hear was the thump, thump, thump of my heart pounding in my chest. I looked around frantically to see if I was being followed but I saw nothing, yet it was there, and just then I felt it in my very presence as a cool chill tingled up my back and the hair on my arm began to raise as the cold beckoned through my entire body. All at once I reached the light of a nearby window and stole a glimps outside, and there through the winter dead trees toward the dilapidated brick wall and busted and broken windows I could see it; there it was starring right back at me, with a dead, steely cold glare, starring right through my very being, piercing me with terror and heart stabbing fright.
I knew, that it knew...
This is in Los Angeles, California. It's a good 30 minute hike down into a deep canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. It has a creepy history as well! It is an abandoned power plant for a planned secret Nazi camp in the Santa Monica Mountains. It was built in the 1930's.
Here is an article about it:

This derelict chapel is one of the only buildings left of Stone Lunatic Asylum, which was 'home' for arround 550 patients in 1979. I thought I would visit this little chapel after reading the following article on the fantastic "28 Days Later" site: http://tinyurl.com/Stone-Asylum
The Buckingham County Pauper Lunatic Asylum was opened in 1853 and closed in 1991. The rest of the site was then demolished in 1994 and is now housing estate. :(
On Halloween, I walked up to our local castle to take some long expsoure night shots (captured on my old Nikon D90 at the time, looking forward to a reshoot with my D600 and 16-35mm lens):
