I have always followed the hilarious April 1 spoofs that appear in the national media every year and tried to emulate them, but has this age-old practice fallen out of favour? Here is mine for this year ... but I suspect the clues I planted were too obvious and may have spoilt the joke.
(I was interested to note that Google has also entered into in the fun this year.)
Haven't you heard? April Fool's pranks have been banned by International Law. They are considered "too dangerous and too costly" by the ICPS, or International Council for Public Safety. Really, the whole world is turning into one big nanny state. -_-
@abirkill ... Thank you. I didn't know that because I am not a great follower of Google but do follow the "serious" newspapers who do it so well - and the BBC of course, who pulled off the "spaghetti harvest" stunt many years ago.
@filsie65 We just got a new dictionary recently, I had to go check but I still see 'gullible' in mine. ;)
And like @clmiller said, as a school teacher I'm glad we are on Spring Break this week as my students still take April 1st pretty seriously around here.
@babysophia ... Wow! Thanks for sharing that ! Every red-blooded camera club member will want one of those "definitely must-have" cameras. This is not a joke ... it's serious and they'll be fighting in the streets to be the first to get their hands on one.
Our local paper used to do some really good ones every year. At this point they've laid off the copy editors to the point where every day is April Fool's Day.
I once set all my husband's computer sounds to Star Trek effects. He left it that way so from time to time the screen saver would kick in and it would sound like someone had just beamed into the study.

Regarding media participation - there is one in the Guardian too - check out the "Guardian Googles". At last, I assume it is an April Fools joke. :-D
That was my dad's favorite holiday.....hehe:)
He loved a good, fun April Fool's day joke.
Yes it has.......here are my Reveal-ex Filter pictures, though......
