I'm very interested in following any of you that might pin photography content, as well as hearing any advice from those of you that do pin about how to get involved or interact in the community, as the whole interface is a bit much to take all at once. Thanks!
I "pin" for photography stuff. My name is Amanda Powell and my picture is of my family at Disney!! I find lots of helpful information and great ideas in there!!!
I do, Katie (and I'm now following your board) Pinterest was my original obsession and I have 2 accounts. Both now have boards devoted to both photo ideas and the more technical aspects of photography. The best way to interact on Pinterest is be a follower (much like it is here at 365) and have a wide variety of boards. I'm sure you'll find many people with similiar interests. It's a fun site, although not as personal and supportive as 365Project!
I do. I have two as well. One for me ( http://www.pinterest.com/njmom3/) with lots of different boards including photo related things. I am now following you.
As you have done, I also have one I recently started as a way to spur my book blog ( http://www.pinterest.com/bookmemories/). I would love to share ideas about growing a blog & Pinterest following if you are interested.
I signed up but haven't ventured further than pinning a few home decor ideas for our upcoming renos. Not enough time in the world to do everything I want! ;)
I pin, as well. I just pin for inspiration. The only involvement I have in the community is with personal friends, and that's usually cooking or decorating related.
I do follow a sewing "pinner," which sounds similar to what you are doing. Again, I have little interaction. I follow and pin what I find interesting.
@froggie0628 Found you, Amanda, thanks! Following your photography board now.
@linnypinny Thanks, Lin! I saw you on there earlier, when I did once of those 'reverse lookup' searches to see if anyone had pinned stuff from my blog already. I am curious though, why do you have two different accounts? Different focus?
@nadaa That would be great! I started one board of a few Pinterest-related posts I got from a friend, but would love to share ideas and insights.
I definitely pin the articles I find in photography blogs that I follow (like yours, Katie!) and useful information around the Internet. It helps to pin them to my Photography Board so that I can read them on my Ipad when I have time. I don't know if this link will get you there, but here it is: http://www.pinterest.com/DebbieArcaro/photography/
I do Pin. Although my boards are not exclusively on photography but I do pin photo ideas on mostly wedding/engagement photos. I am rather one of those people with far too many hobbies.. haha.. but we can definitely follow each other on there too. http://www.pinterest.com/Sweeps809/
I use pinterest. A little bit for photography ideas, but mostly for ideas for the art group that I attend. I would love to spend more time on there but, just like 365 it eats up time.
Yes, Katie...to answer your question about 2 Pinterest accounts, I have one large Pinterest account with many entertainment boards...I started a second, much smaller account, with the emphasis on "how-tos"...my photography boards, DIY, cleaning and recipes are on that account...it makes it easier to find those types of websites when I need them...I must admit that Pinterest takes a back seat to 365, though. (Oh, and my Pinterest name on the second account is Linny Pinny)
@andycoleborn@archaeofrog I'm not so sure about that. I know quite a lot of people who use it in the uk. Most of them for art/craft/ cooking/interior design ideas. Perhaps it's just 'ladies of a certain age!'
I'm on Pinterest, for a variety of reasons (bookish things, gastroparesis friendly recipes, geneaology, craft & color inspiration, looking at amazing photos). I hadn't thought of having a board for photo inspiration or ways to learn how to do it better. I'll have to do that. Thanks for the idea.

Off to find you on Pinterest...
