Absolutely fascinating. I wish I had that guy's eye (actually, I wish I had that guy!)

@gavincci Great video. I personally think it IS all about the eye and the tool is more or less irrelevant excepting special circumstances (low light, etc). This theory is actually the premise of my 365 project where I am restricting myself to use only an iPhone (for main album entries) and as a result to daily exercise and develop my mind's eye.

I really enjoyed this, and I agree that the photographer's eye is what makes his or her photography unique and beautiful. I also, think this is experiment and the other ones that it linked to were very entertaining! @icamera, this is exactly why I admire you project so much!

I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. I try so hard to be creative but I find that quite difficult. I really think that these days what makes a good photographer is the eye for a shot that will make for creative processing.

I've been shooting with a Canon Powershot A560 from the beginning of my project so I understand about shooting with a very LIMITED!!! camera. BUT, that camera (which I just replaced in August!) taught me a lot about SEEING the shot, composition, being creative with its limitations and I think it actually made me a better photographer because of its limitations. Yes, I'm glad I was able to upgrade but I will never forget what I learned from that little point and shoot! As a matter of fact, I was just asked by my camera club to speak on that very same subject. Great videos- thanks for sharing the link!!

A clear demonstration of the craftsman overcoming the limitations of his tools to create great works. Thanks for sharing this @gavincci

@gavincci I love this guy, found him about a year or so ago and the stuff he does and suggests really does help to boost your own creativity whilst lso push your skills and ability, its what you do with it afterwards I guess.!!
@olivetreeann I know where your comming from :D untill about 18 months ago all I had was a point and shoot, little kodac camera, I still have it though and use it on occasion! @macromover Love how you think! creative processing is also tonnes of fun, its like trying to find a balance between the two to make what you 'see', sometimes not an easy task!

@gavincci Thanks for sharing this fascinating video! I've been shooting with a bridge camera since I started and am now looking to upgrade. Maybe I don't need to?! Ha ha ha! Anyway, great food for thought! :)

@amyleewinfield So true Amy! I still carry the "little" camera in my purse- because it fits there! And just used it on my project yesterday to capture a sunset which would have been gone by the time I returned with my "big" camera.
