Boo
...I need your help. My daughter, Little Hoo and her best friend are going to have a pineapple party...hahaha, yes, I know, pineapples! Anyway, Sweden isn't really the land of hawaii parties and pineapples so I am after a bit of help. I am going to decorat the house as if we live in Hawaii, there will be plenty of pineapples to eat but I need some help with the decoration bit. Anyone got any good party sites or access to a party shop that sells hawaiian party stuff? The girls are going to be 9, the party will be inside because there will more than likely be a ton of snow on the garden...haha snowsuit hawaiian party anyone?

Anyone got any party games or the likes? Please help me out here. The party is going to be on the 5th of December so LOADS of time for you all to get your thinking caps on...oh, and I will be taking LOADS of photo's so it is kind of photograpy related isn't it?

Lots of hugs

Hi Boo. It sounds brilliant. I typed "party Hawaiian" into Amazon and got lots of props and ideas (on the UK version - I am not sure about Sweden but you could give it a whirl)

Here's a photo of what the 'lei' or crown looks like for a birthday girl in a real Hawaiian birthday event -- http://365project.org/taffy/special-photos/2013-12-18 -- I'm guessing a florist could reproduce something like this or you could make one out of paper and flexible sticks. Have fun with this!

I am not sure if they ship internationally ( I bet they do) but Oriental Trading is GREAT for party supplies. Don't let the name confuse/deter you, they have all sorts of party favors, decorations, grass skirts, games, etc for very reasonable prices. I have been very satisfied with them for my party needs.

well you have the hoolahoop, a challenge for those could make for a fun game
- the limbo game, where you bend backwards to go under the stick thing,,
You could always decorate the pineapples:D choclates on party sticks exc,, or fresh fruit and veg kebabs stuck in the pineapples look nice.

hawian decorations would be easy to make as they are basically silk petals or fake flower petals sewn onto strings, it would be a fun activity for your daughter and her friends to do together leading up to the party maybe.
