Just to let you know that my cancer diagnosis has taken a turn for the worse over the last week. Therefore my photos will be few and far between while I get my head around this news. If you need any updates, I know that @happypat will keep you up to date. Things aren't looking good and it has turned my world upside down.
Just saw your post and wanted to say thinking of you very much. I don't know you and haven't been a follower, however my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on 14th Feb this year, so we know a little about the journey.
(This is not meant to be a preach to you or anything - but just to share our journey...) we were told by Dr's here in the UK to go home and make the most of the time she had left. Thankfully we researched and went to a reputable clinic in Mexico and our outlook is a whole lot happier now. Life still is a rocky road but we are remaining positive.
Looking at how long you have been on here, you have done amazingly well - a big well done! Thinking of you lots xx
So sorry to here Andrea - you have been a tower of strength - I hope your road ahead is filled with love and you are surrounded by the people who matter most
I've not been around these parts for awhile much, just lurking, 3 days into a diagnosis myself, still awaiting further tests to clarify everything. Sending you strength to cope in the coming days as you get your head round it. Tough isn't it?
@brender Thank you - very much valued. @newbank Feeling for you & glad yours is one that tends to be more treatable. You are right no one expects or desires to join the Cancer Club.
I can't imagine how you must feel, but please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you face this obstacle. I hope that your faith, family and friends will be a source of strength and encouragement to carry you through this difficult passage.
@andreajoy@newbank Just read this link, you lovely ladies, thinking of you so much. What us women have to tackle in our lives sometimes. Andrea will be the person to answer your questions Ruth once she gets over this latest setback Ruth & you will Andrea, the fighter that you are! Scary stuff but is very curable, my sister is doing really well now she has got over her treatment so chins up girls! Big hugs to you both & am thinking of you lots. 😘😘. Andrea & I have a date skinny dipping in Lake Taupo next year Ruth, don't tell anyone!
So sorry to hear this Andrea but I am sure you will tackle it with the same strength that you have shown over the last few years. Each year treatments improve and I pray that you will come through this set back, you are an inspiration to all of us.
@andreajoy Just got to discussions after I haven't been here in forever. Will be thinking of you and I send you lots of warm thoughts and virtual hugs. I have been so absent lately--will keep an eye out for news. xoxo @happypat thanks!
@andreajoy So sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. @newbank 3 locals were picked up on the routine breast screen appointments this year. Though one had complications they all have a positive outcome. A real shock for you ; early days. Your boys will keep you focussed. x
News from NZ this morning from Christine @andreajoy daughter in law is that Andrea is back in hospital, hopefully just a temporary measure for ultra scan & echo. Will pass on any more info.
@andreajoy been in hospital overnight again but home now. The chemo is a different type & its hard going for her this time. She was in much pain last night due to reaction from her chemo, looking at hospice pain management now. Will keep in touch. She will be thankful fir your prayers I'm sure.
