Is it just me or...

Is it just me, or are there some days when I take 10 good pictures and other days I can not get inspired at all. The worst part is that I really like to post the daily picture taken the same day. Sometimes (like today) I can't even decide what to upload and other days I have nothing. Should I "cheat" and use my good pictures on empty past days??

@catalfonso NO it is not just you at all!! I have days where I love every single shot that I take and others where the whole memory card gets deleted! The important thing to remember is that this is your project- you should share what you want to share. If that for you means show casing your best work, then by all means do so.

I use fillers on bad days. I know some folks don't. It's a personal choice. =)

I have posted pics from the same shoot for the last 4 days because I couldn't decide between them. The 2 weeks before that I was having a hard time posting anything at all. I think we all go through ups and downs. It's your project- so do it however you want. = )

I agree with the above. Some people are super stick-to-it about the photo a day thing - but what it comes down to is that it's supposed to be FUN, and if you're posting stuff that you're not excited about, that's not really fun, is it? All of my photos are taken at least within the week that I post them, and I think that's close enough:)

Same here. I just started an ace account just so I can post more from my good days. I have tried to avoid fillers from days prior to when I started this project though just because it is not how I want to do my personal project.

Your not alone! Some days I have a million ideas/photos and other days I struggle!
lol, You cant really cheat on 365, you make the rules, it's your project :)

today i dont even want to pick up the camera.

My pictures are often taken the day before!! I use fillers as do many on here. When I have had an extremely busy day and no time to take a single shot there is no choice, today for example, the shots were deliberately taken yesterday ready for this morning as I work all day until 8.30pm tonight.
I see it as my project and I understand the ideal of "a picture a day on the day" but honestly who's going to police that idea except yourself and if you don't mind who else will question it?

absolutely not alone in this... hahahahahaha there are days I take waaaay too many and I cannoteven get one shot ... LOL...

I guess it depends on what you're doing the project for. If you're doing it to improve your shots I think it's fine if you don't post pictures that are taken the exact same day.

I on the other hand have been doing (and failing) this project once already - just not on this site - where my main goal was to get a picture each day so I would remember that day so the actual technique and end result came in second place. Which is why I'm aiming to post pictures taken that particular day every day, good or bad.

But like we all seem to agree on - it's your project, you should do what you want to, as long as you have fun with it :)

I like to post on the same day in my 365 album, but it is not always convenient, and in any case I think it far better to take time to consider which of the many photographs taken that day need immediate publication, and which would be better kept as fillers for the other albums where time is not of the essence. On some days there are so many photo opportunities that they have to be spread out over several days, but that does not prevent me from going out on those days, too, and taking more ... and increasing the pile waiting for space!

I take the view that this is a project to enjoy in whatever way is most suitable for each person and the only things I totally rule out for myself are posting a photograph several days old in the 365 album without saying why, or posting anything with no caption or apparent reason.

The only cheating possible is to cheat oneself out of the satisfaction and enjoyment of developing the habit of 'taking one and posting one every day" although that does not necessarily have to be always the same day when real life, work, or sickness gets in the way!

Click, post, and enjoy your project!

I also like to post same day, but once I got so frustrated I wanted to quit. I decided there and then that I would use fillers on those days instead of quitting. On the other hand, still haven't done that. I make sure to take a picture everyday no matter what. Many times, I am pleasantly surprised. Enjoy your project!

I decided not to use fillers that much anymore because part of my project is to document my day-to-day life. If I could have seen that shot on another day or if there are some really good shots from one day and nothing from the next or the next few I cheat and use them, though - it's your project so you can do what you want. Where else is that possible ;)?
