Sometimes people will say they've faved one of my pics, but I guess they forget to do it. Does it happen to you? Do you let it go or do you try to say something? I am just curious. I just let it go.
That has happened to me also...I've gotten to where I appreciate the thought and the intent of the person "FAV"-ing. Calling it to their attention could create an awkward situation. But - to your point, I know the strange feeling you get when you read "FAV", only there's no FAV!
Yep i noticed it on a couple of occasions ,either they forget to tick the fav tab,or they don't realize they have to actually fav it by actually clicking on the fav tab...But on the other hand i will see one of my pics has been fav'd more than the number of visitors that have actually noted a fav ..so we have some anonymous faving.
I like to thank every one who actually posted a fav but if i cant see who it was i just do a blanket thanks...for the undocumented fav i still thank them
It's happened to me about 3 times. One of the times I nicely said something, but I felt icky afterwards. If I meant to fave and didn't though, I would want to know...tricky situation....if I ever say FAVE and then didn't, please tell me!
Yeah, it happens occasionally, I don't worry too much about it - but if I ever forget to hit that fav button after saying "fav!" - Tell me!!! I don't mind:)
I'm always in shock (a happy shock) when someone says my picture is a fav. Sometimes I check my stats but most times I don't. I just thank the person for their enthusiasm and vote of confindence because I really believe it's the thought that counts.
Haha! Funny thing. It probably happened to me too. But since I do not pay much attention to the fav I wouldn't know for sure :-) A bit like Ann H. mentioned above... @olivetreeann
I've had it happen a few times too! But I just let it go (although I certainly wouldn't be offended by anyone who came back to remind if I forget to click the fav!)
interesting thread. If I fav a pic of someone who is an ace member, I almost never mention that I've fav'd it, as I just assume they read the stats and know.
Seems like most people let it go. If I forget to click the fav button after I say I've faved something, please let me know. I would have no problem with that.
I usually write my comments first, so it's possible that I forgot to click the fave button. if it ever happens, tell me - i'll go back and do it right!
A couple of times I have faved a photo, then written my comment and forgetting I had already faved the picture, clicked again which actually "un-faved" it! Fortunately I got a message asking if I meant to do that. Maybe that happened to others and they didn't see the final message.
I have had it a few times too,but my comp crashed the other day as i was faving & it didnt work.The lass told me & i knew why straight away.I was not bothered that she told me as it was worth the Fav x
Oh sure--sometimes you really have to click on that Fave button twice (: But I agree with @steveh I don't get when somebody Faves but doesn't leave a comment. Or doesn't Follow you, but Faves AND doesn't leave a comment. ?? Like, hello? Um, nice to meet you???
I don't always leave a comment when I FAV because that is the comment in my opinion...but if I write FAV I do remember to FAV -- sometimes by the time I get to someone's awesome photo there are 500 other comments on it that are going to say the same thing as me so I think FAV'ing it alone is good enough.
I know that on a couple of occasions - I have definitely fav'd about 2-5 photos in a session but when it came to picking my Favourite Fav of the week (I should have at least 5-10) - I would have one or nothing. Since then, to make sure, once I have fav'd a pic, I go straight to my FAV's and check that it's there.
Sometimes I've clicked 'fav' on a photo, but the click sometimes doesn't register, so I have to click it again. Maybe some of us don't notice that the pic hasn't actually been faved when we click it?
And yeah, I have comments that say they've faved it without the actual fav... but I don't really mind because their comment tells me enough :)
I would not follow up on someone to tell them, but I also am with those above who say that if I say "fav" and then forgot to hit the button, please tell me. Because when I fav a pic, it is to look at again and again, so if I forget, I won't see it again. So tell me if I do that.
Yup, happens all the time! I've probably been guilty of the same--oops! I'm just thrilled anyone actually take the time to even look, let alone comment. ;-)

If by chance, I say fav and forget, make sure to tell me!!! :) I fav so I can go back and look again, and I also fav for my kids,, they know what they like and want to see again too!!
@steveh Hands up! I've done that to one of your pictures! But it's because my silly computer won't let me comment sometimes (randomly) It comes up witha messge saying 'invalid media' and after about 3 times of trying I give up!

Sometimes I FAVE and just type FAVE as the comment...as in need I say more? Especially if they already have a lot of comments. :-)
