I've taken a number of nighttime photos for my project. I am not usually afraid of being alone in a dark, but safe, place taking photos. But you sure can freak yourself out when doing Halloween themed shots and getting into the mindset that "something is really there" just for the shot.
Does this happen to anyone else? Share your photos that scared you when you took them. I might have to stay away from trees and confined dark spaces until I grow up.
I'm very scared of heights and miss a lot of shots and good angles because of it. This is my bravest effort.
Taking this one was scary despite the railings along the riverside path.

here are some photos i took at a very high altitude. im not really scared of heights im mostly scared of just falling off or falling down.
I took this pic from a wood that is perched on a hill. I went very close to the edge to take it, but there were many branches and I realized only afterwards where I walked
I do not do well with spiders. To stand there taking a picture of a spider, which was scary enough, and be surrounded by the dry reeds rustling in the wind was almost too much for me.
This will never make National Wildlife (is that still in print?), but I am deathly afraid on snakes, so in spite of its flaws, this was an amazing shot for me. Instead of fleeing at breakneck speed, I pulled out my camera and snapped a picture!
I'm pathetically afraid of heights, and to get this shot, I had to climb a rough stone staircase with no railing, close enough to the edge of the hill to really freak me out. But it was totally worth it!
This forest in Omaha NE called Hummel park is one of the hunted places here. When I pulled into the park I was greeted with dowing creepy tree and from there on I had sinking feelings and nerves sky high in me, even my kids where uneasy :/
Stockton is not noted as being the safest city in California and taking photos at night makes it even a little bit creepier. Take the photo, and get out of Dodge.

And for this one I nearly got driven over...

There are three more pics, so you can visit them but start from the first image posted... I don't want to hi-jack this thread so I'd stop at that. :)
this itchy bitchy---really shake my booty--
i overcome my fear after this shot..------not :)
Fear of the abandonded building falling apart with me inside...
Fear of dropping my camera...
Fear of being hit by speeding cars...
Fear caused by driving at 130 km/h, steering with my knees, with a camera to my face...
Fear of falling into a real depression by getting too much "in character" (had to cut this series short precisely for that reason)...
Fear of being trampled by "Bruno"...
Maybe I should focus on flowers and plush toys for awhile... hahaha.
I was alone in the woods on this dark path on a rainy, cold day. Yeah I made it out of there in record speed and next time someone will be with me
not my fear but maybe others
This rattlesnake gave me quite a scare after I came close to stepping on it while hiking.
Fear of being in a graveyard in the middle of the night.. and generally in the dark creepy woods..
;)
