Yesterday I posted my shot and later on the popular page noticed a much better photograph with the very same title. This morning I noticed a shot on Week 77 Top 20 and thought that reminds me ...... and had something similar a couple of weeks ago when 2 365 friends posted photos which had been taken in the same place on the same day. Anyone want to play SNAP!!!
I know there is another one one... Two 365'ers taking exactly the same photo of white poles sticking out of the water in the middle of nowhere on different days... Can't find them either :-) Maybe the'll pop up... Both were in a discussion too. Unfortunately searching here is not very advanced.
Two of my followers were inspired by that to do similar tree shots: @angievega @bluebell
The funny thing about that is that on the same day these two posted their shots I posted a similar one to my original as well without having seen theirs first:
At least a couple of times on this project @kaustin and I have posted a similar shot on the same day. We live about 40 miles from each other, but have never met. A case of great minds, I guess!
@mastermek@moirab It was actually @msartsy
We pressed the shutter release at the exact same minute, on the same date, in the same place, but were unaware of each other's presence. Twilight frickin Zone! Unfortunately, she's no longer carrying on with her project:(
@rich57 When I took my shot......I remember.I had two guys either side of me with very fancy cameras ......They kept elbowing me in the side as they tried to muscle in to get a shot.....Aha ...it was probably you...
Very interesting post. I never really noticed this before, but will certainly watch closer now. I get so many great ideas for other images, and this is a great way to show our own personal take on the same object. I hope you run this post again often. It's really quite fascinating.
Me again.... This is so fun seeing 365ers in the same spot at the same time!! Which brings me to a question. Does anyone know if there is someone on here that posts pictures only with a plastic flamingo? At the Pike's Market in Seattle, there was a girl placing her pink flamingo at different vendors and I overheard her say it was for a photography project. Thought it would be funny if her "project" was here!!
@moirab That is what we decided. To me it is amazing when you think about all the people around the world who participate that two should post a similar photo on the same day. Even more so when one follows someone that posts the same shot.
i spotted this sand dollar photo by @kkfielding a couple of days after i had posted one almost exactly the same!
@andycoleborn
