I simply love white on white even more now!! Hope this opens up new ideas for 365ers!!
Got inspired today and stopped into West Elm Furniture store on the way home. Did two for you. My biggest problem is getting the color cast out of the white, so glad I had a new challenge here
@buttercup LOVE your shot! I tried to desaturate my bright colors to achieve something similar to yours, but my green looked quite gray. SO, here is my white on white (with a couple pops of color!). This was taken earlier this week.
How do you guys get the nice crisp white background in your pictures? Is it strictly in the post processing, or is it in the camera settings? Inquiring minds want to know, because mine always come out grey :(
@krissym I just turned on a lamp that had a white lampshade. I think the light coming from the back is what gave it the crisp white color. Then I desated it a little. @tiffinbitesized Good catch! White and a great pattern! @suehecker That is a beautiful bird and look at those bubbly waves coming in. So beautiful!! @laynesgram Pretty pretty pretty!!
@brumbe@psychographer how do you do this? Is thereca recipe?! Do you shoot something against a white background, convert into b&w then up the highlights or something? I've not tried yet, but I can't seem to work it out in my head!
@lluniau for the clock it was already all white, found the backdrop and took the photo. Then in Picasso I upper the fill light and highlight, went with neutral Colorado tone and then desaturated. For the flowers I painted the back ground white in paintshop, did the above steps, added contrast and brightness.
I dont have any white on white photos....YET! I love this thread. I think these pics are great and hopefully I'll try some of my own soon. @brumbe Your west elm shots are fantastic! @annamaker - beautiful!
I have not been here for ages but I do browse from time to time on my friends and other photos. I could not resist this topic. I just love white on white.
@joannapayne it's actually a rose petal! I put it on a white shelf to use as my background, but the shelf has a gloss finish to it, which created the reflection :)
@buttercup thanks! Our picket fence USED to be white too! lol! Hubby wants to paint it but i like it all "chabby chic" like that! Fun sharing thread with so many beautiful images! :)
does this count?

This was white on white but then I tinted it blue.
i don't have many white on whites.
i should try to do this more.
I think it's because I don't really have anything that's white. hmmmm
This is my first try doing White on White ..I hope it Fits!! :)
Your pebbles are lovely!
@iqscotland I love this....the combination of the prickly looking metal and the soft delicate feather is very cool.
Thanks, it was worth kneeling in the mud for.
Overexposure does do the trick too ;-)
and
I had another try at it with the same subject different lighting (sunshine) and different location and background...I like it much better!
