Thank you to everyone who took part in our Just-4-June challenge and to all of you who suggested words to Try-4-July. In total we had 603 words nominated and this is how I have compiled our list:
- Firstly I added the words that were nominated for specific dates, for example ’ Independence’ on the 4th for Independence Day and ‘Needle’ on the 25th for Thread The Needle Day.
- I then put some similar words together like ‘Water / Water Lily’ and ‘Silver / Sparkle’.
- I then counted up the number of times that the words were nominated and attaching those to the matching date (for example “Omg!” was nominated 5 times so is on the 5th)
- Where there were two or more with the same count, I added these randomly throughout the month.
- Some words that I have not included as they have been used in recent months, for example Smile and Beach.
- As agreed in previous months, the following words are bonus words each month; Birthday and Anniversary along with the Star Signs and Birth Stones.
Please note that the dates are just recommendations and you do not have to stick to them, you can use any of the 35 words in any order you like, if you wish to.
Some of you may have noticed that the tag we use is also used by other 365’rs who are not entering this challenge. I have also noticed that although we have 1,187 photos tagged with ‘ jun2013’ there are also 130 photos tagged with ‘ june2013’. So from now on we have a new tag structure: First three letters or the month, the year and then ‘words’. For example: jul13words * Tag your photos with jul13words to see them all here: jul13words.

Well there's plenty to get the creative juices flowing. Once again, well done and thank you for your hard work. I've really enjoyed the June words and it's kept me on my toes and in and out with the camera every day...

Thank you for taking this on every month. I haven't been around much so I completely missed the nominating process. Looks like a great collection of words for the start of year 2 for me.
Thank you for putting this together. I was having such fun with June then my mother had brain surgery- she is doing well!- and the pictures just seemed to back up. I really enjoy look through your(all of you) shots. Well, on to July then. Great choice of words!
Once again let me add my thanks to those who appreciate the work you put in so we may play. I think I'm in but June 10 to 19 I am flying to the DC area to see my mom and brothers new home. They just moved from Wyoming. So not sure but I may not even be able to get online. Mom isn't.
Thhank you again for organising this challenge, I thoroughly enjoy doing it, but as usual will have trouble with a few of thewords I think, but will do my best.
My life as a preschool teacher and mom of two boys only a year apart meant I had to do a lot of teddy bear picnics. But this challenge was years past that stage of my life.
I really had to twist my mind in some mental gymnastics to figure out why the picture I wanted to use could be said to match the word of the day. After going to DC for my first time ever and seeing my mom and brothers for the first time in three years I was determined to post those pictures without giving up on matching the word.
Again a fun month. I'm glad to see next month taking shape again. Thank you.
