**Winner CSC-29: Sun Flare**

July 19th, 2013
Congratulations Tom ( @tomo87) for winning the CSC 29! Paul Everest and I are pleased to present his winning shot of "Travel...the best":

Congratulations also to everyone else who participated in the challenge. Your entries were great and we wish you could all win!

@tomo87 Tom, it's now over to you! You can either host CSC-30 yourself, or select another experienced photographer to host. It is the winner’s option on who they want to host the next challenge, it may be someone they follow whose work they admire, or someone who is active offering suggestions on previous CSC challenges. The winner may also select an experienced photographer from the list of photographers who have agreed to host future challenges as another option. Here is the link to that list if you want it:

I like the notion of combinging B&W with a sun flare. I'll put it on the list of ideas that I intent to steal and pretend to have come up with. ;-)

Tom
Wow! Still shocked I won this, thank you all so much. So many Fav's and kind comments to respond to. I've a few ideas for this, but I'm nervous to host it myself, since this is pretty much the first one I've noticed and participated in (plus I don't have many skills!). I had the idea "panoramas" but for most, that's not strictly "camera settings".

One man on the suggestions list I've followed (and had constructive feedback from) since almost day 1 of my project, that can do things with the exact same camera that I just can't is Mr.Plume.

Jerry would you be wiling to host the next challenge? @orangecrush

@tomo87 Well done, Tom! An outstanding effort. I'll tell you now that @taffy and I had a job choosing the finalists and as she says, we both wanted everyone to win! IN the end, the day is yours. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for the next challenge.

@tomo87 Congratulations Tom!! Awesome shot!! Hopefully Jerry will be willing to host the next challenge! @orangecrush

@tomo87 You may want to see if you can find someone else to host the challenge since Jerry hasn't responded.

Tom
@myhrhelper I agree. I completely forgot, hence the delay!

Anyway, onwards, lets get on with this challenge, I'll have a think over the next day and host this one myself tomorrow when I finish work!

Here is the Camera Settings Challenge Link.
Most of the challenges we've had are listed - I'll add the most recent.
The challenge started when I got my first DSLR camera and wanted to lean how to use it. It would be fine to repeat challenges and even have some very easy basic ones for individuals who have a new DSLR but keep it in Auto.
Or it could be a unique technique that requires specific settings etc. to accomplish it. Thank you so much Tom, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
