Back 2 Basics - Form

Congratulations to @alpeedee for such a great shot with some wonderful lines with this runner (the implied line of his run added to all the others)



Well I can see that I am not alone in struggling this past week with shape based on the many replies to last weeks challenge and discussion thread. Never-the-less you all came up with some neat shots while at least keeping shape in mind. And if these discussions and challenges do nothing else I hope that they help you keep your eyes open for photo opportunities and art works to be made.



So for this week we will attempt to look for the FORM of our subjects. @byrdlip gave a go at summing it up nicely (at least for me) "well, lines would be one-dimensional, shape is the two dimensions and form is three dimensions. My read anyway."

So go out and focus on the form of your subject. Don't forget to tag your photos "b2b-form" and feel free to share them in this thread for inspiration to others.

@alisonp oooooooooooooooo, FREAK ME OUT! Very nicely done. Wonder if you can get any glowing eyes in there without looking cheesy? This is fab though.

@geocacheking I may well just try the eyes :-) ... I had to edit out thestripey tea towels and made them black lol [ I had the mask placed over a bale of tea towels to stand it upright ha ha

This Shapes vs. Forms thing is going to be difficult. Will have to look for more to read about it. Maybe these are just swirl shapes, not forms?...
