âIf cold December gave you birth, The month of snow and ice and mirth, Place on your hand a turquoise blue; Success will bless whate'er you do..â
In total we had 616 words nominated and this is how I have compiled our list:
- Firstly I added the words that were nominated for specific dates, for example 18th Cookies for âBake Cookies Dayâ.
- I then counted up the number of times that the words were nominated and attaching those to the matching date (for example âSteampunkâ was nominated 14 times so is on the 14th)
- Where there were two or more with the same count, I added these randomly throughout the month.
- Some words that I have not included as they have been used in recent months, for example although Christmas Pudding, Cake and Cracker.
- I have also included Humbug Day on the 21st for anything ânot related to Christmasâ as most of the other words are related to Christmas.
- As agreed in previous months, the following words are bonus words each month; Birthday and Anniversary along with the Star Signs and Birth Stones. The bonus words are: Birthday, Anniversary, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Turquoise, Tanzanite and Zircon. Have set myself an additional challenge as I feel I've been slacking and I want to finish off my first 365 year in style! I'm going to try(?) and find a line of a Christmas song connected to each word! Am not at work from 12th Dec so that should make life a bit easier! Thanks Bulldog for all the words and lists!! :0)
I'll hopefully be focusing on the summer side of the silly season ;)
