As we are about to head into 2014, Bulldog has asked to take a break from the Word-A-Day challenges. I have agreed to take over for him. I am sure that we can look forward to his creative posts throughout the New Year. Since his creation of this post, many of us have found some new inspiration to get us through our projects. Thank you for this Bulldog.
With the holidays approaching, I have decided to put the post up a couple of days early. So, hopefully you can find time to post around your festivities. Now it’s time to decide your words for January 2014.
As always It could not be easier…
Simply nominate your word to this forum post and it may be included. You can nominate as many words as you like and if you see a word you like, just add it again... (The more times a word is mentioned, the greater the chance it will be used). I will then count up the number of times that a word has been added and the top 31 will be our list for the jan14words.
Please make your suggestions for “Jumpin-4-January” between now (12/22) and 5 p.m.. Sunday December 29th, for them to be included. As always, if you have a word that you would like to see on a particular day, please nominate which day as well, for example: 6th Cuddle (for Cuddle-up Day) or 15th Hat for (National Hat Day).
You can check our more dates here: http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/january.htm
There are seven bonus words for January and these will be; Birthday, Anniversary, Capricorn & Aquarius (star signs) as well as Garnet (birthstone) carnation and snowdrop (birth flowers) so you do not need to ‘suggest’ those.

@amyamoeba Hi Amy. Sorry I am so late getting back to you on this. I have had a nasty stomach flu as of late. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I thought your suggestion of "where have I put my lens cap?" was really a great idea. Sorry it didn't make the list...maybe for next month. I think it would be a great discussion topic, though. Have you thought about posting it?
@snaphappi Hi Maggie, The nominations have been submitted for January. I did try to make the list a applicable to all regions (i.e. instead of clouds or cold, I used the word weather. So, hopefully you can get some use out of the list also). See the final list here 2014: Jumpin-4-January .
I will post the next discussion for February nominations around January 22 or so and end about January 29th...so that I have time to tally the results.
Thanks for your interest. Please drop by and add these to the February nominations when that discussion opens.
