What is Haiku?
According to dictionary.com - a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons.
I enjoy writing poetry, and I have enjoyed learning about Haiku. I'm not the best at it, but I find it to be an interesting form that challenges preciseness in communication. Matching an image to it is a bit of reversal to the typical fashion of writing the haiku to an image. It should be fun, and hopefully a challenge.

WEEK 1 HAIKU - Patience
mirrored souls stand tall
anchored against nature's call
patience conquers all
I might give it a try! If i can even think straight once this next work week cranks up. I am going to be super busy as we have had Tue-Fri off of school here for winter weather. I will be so behind. I love haiku though! And sounds like a great way to find some inspiration!
If you were aware of the idiomatic use of "nature's call" when you chose to use it, well and good, but if not, this might interest you (scroll down past the ads, sorry!): http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nature's+call
Not sure if it is the teasels or cones that are standing tall!
Posted this once, but somehow it didn't make it in. Here is my entry and lovely haiku, Paul!
waiting forever for your call
why in love did i fall?
