Can't join until after 10 days of travel but have been thinking it's time to practice with my LB again. I recently was given a new gadget to add to my LB arsenal; the LB Scout. It's time to figure out how to have fun with this! ;)
I've been trying out freelensing over the past couple of months, and really like some of the effects I get with it:
If I were going to buy a Lensbaby to get similar effects without having to detach the lens, which one should I look at? I have a Canon dSLR if it makes a difference!
This is with a 24mm lens, I know you get different effects with longer focal lengths, I just never plan ahead and wind up using whatever's on my camera at the time!
I pulled out a longer zoom lens (35-80mm) to try freelensing today. I was considering selling this lens because I never use it, but...I kind of like the effects I was getting using a longer focal length! I'm still not quite understanding how you can hold a lens "several inches" away from the body (as per some of the articles I've read about freelensing) and still be able to see anything at all...?
I meant to post mine here, but completely forgot at the time to do so. Sorry to be so late! This was so much fun! Thanks for introducing the concept - another cool trick in my bag!
I kick this off.
