@brigette and I have both recently posted photos from our trips to Venice. We thought it would be fun to host a theme based on the cities of the world.We are kicking off with Venice.
The theme will run from 2 September until 9 September. Post as many photos as you like from Venice and use the tag City-Venice. Brigette and I will choose our favourite images for you to vote on and the winner will get to choose the next city we visit.

This is a shot from 9 years ago. Me and my family took the ferry to greece from the habour of venice and i had the chance to shot some parts of the city. Wasn't that much into photography then, with sweet 16 years old. :D
Thanks Nicole for this theme. I have had a rather nostalgic journey through my Venice album taken during our World Cruise in 2010. Where have the last 5 years gone? I will upload a few more favourites in the coming days.
I have had such fun looking back at my old Venice shots - in 2012 I was disappointed with this shot - the DOF, the haze & the soft light the colours look really, really bland - ff to 2015 - "why not make it B&W" I think to myself (is that a "well derrrr!! " I hear from @graemestevens and @northy???!! ;-D) and hey presto it looks heaps better!! Because we had hired a small boat to cruise the harbour for a few days, we escaped the thousands of tourists - and we are here eating fantastic seafood pizza at the foreshore cafe with only a handful of locals and the gulls!
