My lovely friend Kerry is leaving Scotland to start a new life in sunny Oz... she got me started in 365 and keeps me motivated! I'm going to miss her tonnes so to keep us going, I've made a photo treasure hunt for January for us to do and we'd love it if you'd join us.
The idea is simple...
Any interpretation of any item off the list in any order! Take them in January 2012 and tag them "jan12_treasures".
Sounds like fun. I like having the extra ideas. It sometimes gets hard thinking of ideas for my bottle. (for those that don't know, I am shooting my 365 with the same subject. A small aqua colored bottle).

I'm finishing up my project on December 31st, but I'm planning on hanging around for at least another year. This will give me some motivation to find things that reflect each day's "theme."
oh, this sounds like lots of fun, and being able to do it in any order we want? yippee! @bobfoto - i am in agreement with kylie- please do another year! there HAS to be more to photograph in that incredible yard of yours to share with us. . .
Ha ha! I can't wait to see how Kerry manages to do 'snow' in sunny Oz in January! LOL! @kezzy, let me know what you got, cause we get snow here in June, but not Jan! I'm trying to think up a creative interpretation already!
May not make it for all of them. But as I have said I'm always in for extra ideas. Can never have to many when photographing a single subject for a year.

I am so freakin excited about this. I printed out the list and will be fully participating. I'm even thinking about running one for February and already have a list in my head for that, unless someone does it first. :) Happy New Year, be safe and tonight please be aware of drivers around you. @chasingwishes oooh, a Feb list could be fun too... I've got a mini plan for Feb/March but I think it's flexible enough to tie in with a list like the treasure hunt! Definitely interested! xx
I am excited about this... but at the same time some of these are almost impossible for me... shark (IDK how to make that work), snow (I don't live where it snows), sunrise (I am a night owl and never get up before 10am) and friends (all mine live so far away)...
This is going to be a tough one but still am going to try

Ok...I'm not sure if I did this correctly. I tagged it with the title, but I want my Smell of Coffee photo to be for the word "hot." If you can let me know what I need to do to make corrections, that would be great. I really want to participate in this treasure. Thanks! :)

Hi, I've just found this list and it looks like a great idea but do we have to do them in any particular order? I can use yesterday's shot for a couple of the things. Shall I still tag them?
This is a great idea and I have decided to do this challenge also. As with @psychographer I have decided not to do them in order as a couple of my photos that I have taken this year already fit the theme. Looks like there are going to be some great photos for this challenge. Thanks for thinking of this idea.
@kittenshark On the right-hand panel next to your pic there is a box marked 'share' with some code in it. Cut and paste the code from the box on this page and hit 'post reply' and your pic should appear.

Nature can present it in self in so many ways. Being here on this day we saw it all, sun, snow, sand, cold, warmth, wind, calmness. Amazing what "nature" does.
I'm wondering what I can do for 'snow' - I'm living the hot Aussie Summer (have only seen snow about 3 times in my life!). I'm not ruling it out, I just have to think outside the box. Any ideas?
@tabbycat Ooh, I like your thinking! Being summer holidays, there's a bit of a carnival thing happening near the beach, I'm sure there'd be snow cones there! Thankyou for your idea - I hope I get the chance to get back there!
I have been faithful to this challenge and am sweating "bokeh"... my bokeh happens by accident usually. And my Twitmas lights are all down and I'm not into creating my own bokeh shapes because it sounds hard. These are my excuses. :)

So, I lasted 27 days before bowing out. Aside from my epic 365 adventure, I'm sure 27 days is a record for me to stick with ANYTHING!! LOL!! Just wanted to say thank you to Mei and Kerry for this opportunity! It's been fun and I hope you've enjoyed all our pics! I can't believe the year is almost 1/12 over already! :-O
Well done to everyone! The photos from this are amazing! I've got two still to edit and post and then I'll check out the tagged pics and post my favourites! Feel free to post the photos you liked best too.
