24th July 2020

Day 122 of semi lock down.

This morning it was a lovely day so I headed off to deliver print number 20 at an address in Waldegrave road. The chap was really nice and I met both his little dog and his brother. Whilst we were chatting and socially distancing in his back garden, his brother asked if I had a similar montage of Richmond as he would definitely buy one! This got me thinking and whilst chatting we came up with the idea of producing another for Richmond, this time in support of a different charity there. I need to have a think about this but I think this could be quite viable and could tie in with a possible Christmas art fair I'm hoping to take part in later in the year - all being well.

After Colin returned from golf and we had lunch, we headed over to Sunbury where I had a meeting at 2:30 with a woman who wants to commission me to take a photograph of St Mary's Church in Twickenham and the riverside viewed from Eel Pie Island. I measured the space it will go into and had a chat with her. It will be quite a challenge gaining access to the area but I hope I will be able to help and it could be quite lucrative as well. Our final stop of the day was to - at long last - drop off two large bags of books to the Fara charity book shop they were very grateful to receive them and we were very grateful to drop them off. Along with the television in the front bedroom they have been tripping us up for the last couple of months since we sorted them out. All in all a successful day and things seem to be picking up a lot since we first went into lockdown.

Compulsory mask wearing in shops and other enclosed public places came into effect today at long last. It will be interesting to see how this goes and needless to say it is a few months late to be totally effective.

45,677 PHE total dead in the UK (updated today but no breakdown)
