1 year, 41 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020
Bad start to the day as Colin was simply eating a bowl of porridge and blueberries when his front tooth came out again. It can hardly be considered hard food and he is understandably depressed. At least it was during the week this time and by the end of the day he has an appointment for 11.45 tomorrow although we are not sure exactly what can be done and I foresee some more major work having to be undertaken to fix it permanently.
I had to go out at 10.00 as I had my first photo shoot for months - one of our close neighbours Niamh wanted some formal head shots for use on a website and for social media. It was really nice being out although obviously I wore my mask for the inside parts of the shoot which made me realise that my view finder kept steaming up! I shot nearly 90 images and have had a quick ‘chimp’ and i have some nice images which I hope she will be happy with.
I was back in less than an hour in time for coffee and Colin’s shoes arrived and I think it cheered him up a bit that one of the pairs is very comfortable. We were finally able to return a pair that arrived last week and have been living in a box in the hall ever since.
Afterwards we headed to Teddington library to cast our vote in the London Mayoral elections. It was rather complicated with three ballot papers and for the first time ever we ended up queuing outside due to Covid restrictions.
Photo club this evening was not my sort of work but Julia was an accomplished photographer and speaker - I have great sympathy for people having to talk for 2-hours with virtually no feedback.
