Lots of families in South Louisiana paint tombs prior to All Saints' Day. Most people paint them white. But this matches the flowers.

Fascinating. I saw these unique cemeteries on my visit to New Orleans in the Spring, but there was no decorative paint at the time. I like the idea of making a tomb a living memorial.
