Still rebuilding after Katrina

This week I was asked to scout some houses in Arabi, a small town east of New Orleans. Many homes flooded during Hurricane Katrina in 2005; some were renovated, others demolished. On the vacant lots, pretty cottages are being built, revitalizing the neighborhood.
Nice to see that area making a comeback!

They look lovely. Amazing that after years and years of planning and building an area it is 'cleaned up ' by nature in a few hours for the cycle to begin once more with lots of hope for a better future.

Sometimes it takes a while but life will resume. The new cottages look really nice- I hope they will become a home for someone who enjoys them. Nice collage!

Terrrific collage of these cute little cottages! 16 years is a long time but I’m glad they’re still working at it.
