A flower from the past

When Ann LeFevre sent me the Pentax ME film camera that had belonged to her friend's mother, there was a roll of color slide film in the camera, with a note dating it to July 7, 2001. I finished shooting the roll and had it developed. Because the film was so old, the pictures are a funny, faded fuchsia color. I edited this in Silver Efex to bring out the detail. I feel like I know the photographer just a little by looking at her photos, as I also love to shoot flowers and butterflies.
how exciting it must be to see someone else's work. I like how you edited it!

She was pretty good, wasn't she?! I think I would find that exciting too. I have a lot of negatives that came from my grandparents' home. Some of them I have the prints too- but some might be fun to print if I can find someone with a dark room. I wouldn't want to send them out as they are not the usual size and quite special. Great idea to convert to black and white to avoid the color issues.

@olivetreeann She was good! I went to a Vivian Maier exhibit today. How exciting it must have been to buy some of her film and negatives and see what was on them!

@eudora I saw Sue yesterday and told her how excited you were to be using the camera and what you'd done with this picture. She'll be passing that along to her mom.
