I did not rescue Hector. They have a very nasty, dangerous bite; if they have the misfortune to fall in the pool, I call it natural selection.
I wasn't as happy with this photo as the whole critter wasn't in focus. It was moving at a pretty good clip, and I am just not that fast on my knees and elbows with camera in hand that I am trying to keep from dropping into the pool.
