The figs are also ripening, sometimes faster than the orchard owner can get them picked. The wasps and bees don't seem to mind; they were quite busy feasting on the over ripe fruit. Those were all too high for me to photograph, unfortunately.

I've never seen a fig so close up! My impression of a fig is dried in a packet and I love them!
