I was taking photos of bees. I should say I was attempting to take photos of a type of bee I had never seen before when I saw this wee clay pot attached to the front of one of the blossoms that the bees were all buzzing around. It is 1cm/3/8" in diameter. I had never seen anything like this before, so I had to look it up. It is a Potter Wasp nest! It is filled with food (paralyzed caterpillar) and a wasp egg and voilà! Instant wasp! Well, as instant as wasp gestation is.
