We went on a little trip today, and as we passed a lone farmhouse out in the middle of nowhere, this dog met us on the road. She stood there on the side of the road watching us quite alertly until we went on then went back up to the house. I thought she was beautiful.
She is lovely, obviously just guarding her territory. I'm a terrible worrier about 'stray' animals. I think I should start up some kind of mobile clinic if I lived abroad!!
@Cherrill Thank you very much! We are too, which is why we have three dogs, a cat, a parrot, and a turtle; all are rescues. Plus we bought our own live trap so we can trap the feral cats for the TNR program.
As I think I told you we love Cyprus. We only visited the south once tho with my partner's children because he wanted to revisit where he was based with the RAF. I must say I was shocked by the number of stray cats and their condition. Also we had a very unfortunate incident sitting outside a restaurant in a market square and a kitten was run over right in front of us! The driver was completely non plussed and another man just scooped it up in a bag and threw it in a bin. needless to say we were all a bit upset! I know there are people like you who work so hard with neutering etc. It is an endless task I'm sure. Our visits to the North have been a little less eventful!!
