Wild asparagus in the morning by evalieutionspics

Wild asparagus in the morning

I didn't have a plan this morning which is just as well as I ended up rescuing 32 bees from the pool. All I can think is there must have been one wild party in the hive last night, so they were all hung over and needing rehydration. One of them must have been one of those angry types because he stung me. It's the first time I have been stung doing my rescue work. Poor thing I must have frightened him.

I like the delicate lines of the asparagus and the rich colors.
This looks very like the sticky weed that I have been pulling out of the garden for days! It may be called wild asparagus or perhaps just be very like it! Imagine saving all those bees! You must be a bee whisperer!

@maggiemae If it is allowed to grow too large, it gets very pokey. When it has been established for a few years, it will send up very thin, dark asparagus shoots. They call it black asparagus here. It has a more pronounced flavour than what I grew up eating. The ants love it.

I probably have a compulsion when it comes to the bees. Knowing the state of the bee population makes me concerned for each little life.
