Esti dog is Rhys' pup that he adopted while he lived with us in Cyprus. When he went back to the US, Esti went with him. They are best buddies. They visited me several times while I was at the farm and Esti acted as my protector. This photo shows her busy at work. Isn't she lovely?
@maggiemae Thank you! She might have some Lab in her, but she is a typical Cypriot hunting dog. Rhys found her on the road in front of the taverna he worked at. She was about 4 weeks old and absolutely COVERED in fleas and ticks! Her sister didn't make it. We aren't sure if they were thrown from a car or came down from one of the houses in the village. Either is possible. :(
@joysabin Thank you so much for your kind comment! A couple of days later one of the local men stopped by. He's a bit eccentric. Esti went absolutely nuts! She wouldn't let him come in the yard. My boys said she has never acted that way around him before. I don't know if she was just protecting ME, or if he was just off that particular day. In any case, she's a good girl.
