My Get Pushed challenge this week came from Mary who asked me to photograph one of my dogs in a situation where it might be considered unusual to see them.
@mcsiegle Hi Mary, thanks for the challenge, this was tough! Hope you like the result, no-one was harmed in this bit of Photoshop:) Felicity PS I'd like to have finished it off with a shadow but spent a ridiculous amount of time on it so far, so am quitting while I'm ahead.
@jacqbb Hi Jacqueline, it's all PS I'm afraid! I downloaded a pic of the skateboard from the web, and used a shot of my pup going beserk jumping over the cabbage field. Spent ages erasing around both pics, repositioning, rotating and flipping and then finding a suitable background. I did want to add smoke on the wheels but settled for good old motion blur instead ... glad you like it!
Ha ha ha ha wonderful response to the challenge. Impressive PS work. Erasing background is HARD. I’ve tried — on subjects with less complex outlines as your dog — and not done as good a job. Mission well accomplished!
