I have been to Fleetwood today to have my stitches in my mouth out, all 13 of them !!! Afterwards I walked round to the ferry terminal to take a few pictures for today's upload & the ferry was in service ferrying people from Fleetwood to Knott End on the other side of the estuary.
You can just see the ferry docked at the other side, it only takes a couple of minutes to cross & costs £1.50 for an adult . It must save a good hour by road so is used quite frequently especially at either end of the day.
My friend used to catch this ferry to go to school & during the winter when it was a bit rough was regularly sea sick .....not a good start to a mornings lessons !!
@judithg No she went to Fleetwood Grammer ! Off to the pictures now to see Jane Eyre ! @jmj Thank you both but i am much better now the stitches are out . I feel like a new woman !!!
glad you got those stitches out! that can't have felt good. Nice job of capturing the ferry terminal. can't imagine riding a ferry to and from work every day!
I must have missed the background story to the mouth stitches...oral surgery? Ouch! Hope you are feeling much better, Pat! Love this ferry photo. I would much rather take the ferry, rough seas or calm, to save an hour of drive time. The sky is absolutely beautiful in this shot, too.
13 stitches in your mouth!!! Horrendous! Hope you are feeling better ...feel sorry for your friend, seasickness is awful and it would have been an horrible way to the day....Great shot, though, I like the clouds.
