24 little hours !!

What a difference a day makes !!!! We have had rain all day today in complete contrast with yesterdays gorgeous weather !!
Harry needed some more walking shoes so we went to Freeport at Fleetwood & bought some there.
This is the marina & as you can see full of leisure boats of all sizes. This is the old harbour where all the fishing boats of Fleetwood used to land their catch...sadly no more !! I can remember when I was nursing at Blackpool Victoria one of my friends had a boyfriend who used to go out to sea for three weeks at a time & she was always worried about him being out on the high seas !
An industry sadly for Fleetwood gone ..... in it's place leisure !!!!!
These are very pretty and so is your processing but it's a shame really that you can't take gnarly old trawlers!! I don't think the rain is going to get to us - there's nothing forecast for this week. I was talking to a famer's wife at hockey and she just shook her head and looked worried although she said it was the dry spring that really scuppered them.

@judithg Much more arable where you are & they all must be very worried ! Yes i would much rather have seen the old fishing trawlers !! There is a lovely old brick building that used to do ice packing & I would love to photo it but haven't worked out a way to get in yet !

Yes - that would be great to see!! You'll be getting a reputation - treason in Buck Palace followed by breaking, entering and trespass ;0)

I think that the weather really helped with the "mood" on this picture, Pat. Love the composition and color. Too bad about the changing industry tho. . not all of these changes are for the better.

What a lot of boats! No doubt their owners are all sitting snugly in a coffee shop or at home by the fire! Unlike the trawlermen who had to go out in all weathers. Makes me appreciate my weekly piece of haddock!

@karenann I thought the sepia did convey the wet weather a bit more Karen & it was pretty miserable !

great shot here Pat - lovely sepia tones too. Can't believe there was such a huge North-South divide in the weather today - we had the same if not better weather as yesterday.

Pat , beautifully composed, hard to believe this is Fleetwood ! The mono chrome works well and captures the rainy mood ! I think summer officially ended today !

I love the processing in this Pat - it really gives it great atmosphere.

Lovely shot, Pat. I would imagine the trawlers have a bit more character...but these leisure boats are sleek and beautiful. And I suppose there's an economic boost from leisure to replace what was lost by the fishing industry decline. Love the sepia tones to enhance the rainy day feel.
