That is a very brightly coloured sofa.......too bright for me!
Taken in a shop in Kirkby Lonsdale on Saturday.
I did quite well for a once a year bingo player last night.....two lines & a win in the raffle of a bottle of Vodka. A big bag of salted peanuts & a tin of chocolate biscuits so I was quite pleased with myself.
The concentration you have to have is unbelievable & by ten o'clock we were flagging & I could hardly keep up. We can go again on Wednesday if we decide we want a repeat run....village hall bingo for Cancer Research.
Funnily you could tell the pros by their dabbers......we had ordinary pens but the two ladies opposite had proper Mecca Bingo dabbers!!
Three good things:
1. A very clean fridge.
2. I have got the Christmas cards out again....perhaps this time I will make a start. Last day for overseas to NZ tomorrow.
3. 20% into New York & enjoying it very much...over 800 pages so a way to go.
Jolly find. I have a rather bright Aztec kilim style sofa which is my joy! Just had it recovered. Took me two years to find the material that I wanted. It was 20 years old and was looking sad. Originally an Andrew martin delight so could not part with it,
Might post that soon so you can see it!
Super fun sofa -- but I am afraid my home would not be the setting for it !! but very inviting to go in to sit on it in the window !! lol ! Did well last night Pat --are you going to buy a Bingo dabber for next week when you become the twice a year Bingo Player !!!
@neatz ooh do Anita....I think we should have a theme...our sofas & what they say about us! Mine is wuitecinteresting but I quite fancy a plain beigeish grey simpler model!
@beryl ha ha Beryl...it's this Wednesday so haven't got time....I have a B&B guy who stays here & goes to bingo, I mightvask him to get us a couple for next year! Harry didn't comevwith me I might add...he wouldn't have been able to keep up!
Very funky.. but could stay there a while... Mum use to love Bingo in the resthome... she would have quite a stash of mini chocolate bars... I am good at getting xmas cards out and thinking about it as well...
Ever read any Lucy Caudwell? I'm readin my first of her's at the moment. Loving it, one I stumbled across in the library last week. That is a very colourful sofa....would maybe hide the red jam stains well? But vanish upholstery remover removes anything so well.
I like the processing of this shot - looks more like an advertisement or an artistic picture on the wall! I would love that sofa but would need no other colour in the room at all - other than a yellow desk lamp! I think your bingo would be fun especially as it is for charity. Winning all that stuff! You would be stuffing peanuts and chocolate biscuits in while slurping up the vodka - then falling over at your bingo station?
What a great shot. You would need to wear sunnies if that was in your house wouldn't you. Well done with your bingo win. Let's hope we do as well with our trivia night tomorrow.
I love this shot, but you're right - it's pretty bright! I just posted a pressie from NZ to Canada - an expensive business, and I only have one son overseas!
Ooh it's like a framed triptych. That would need a special room - nice in an urban loft type place. I think the trouble with Bingo would be dabbing (apparently!) the numbers while still checking for lines and THEN having the nerve to shout out without triple checking!
Might post that soon so you can see it!
Enjoy your winnings!
