We have been to Harry's cousins funeral today so it's been a mixed day of emotions.
A very unfortunate accident on his farm where he was knocked over while tending his cattle. One of the animals jumped over anothe one & knocked him over onto the concrete floor.
He died doing what he loved the best but far too early.
Three good things:
1. A packed church to show great respect for this farmer & member of his community.
2. Courage of a son to say his fathers eulogy.
3. A lovely meal afterwards with friends & old acquaintances.
Oh how sad. I don't think we always appreciate how difficult farming can be and it's such a shame that he died in this way although as you say, he died doing what he loved. Big hugs to you all
So sorry to hear the sad news re Harry's cousin's death -- so tragic , but what comfort when the whole community pay such respect -- their last respect to this man .
A lovely shot and edit Pat -- not your usual !!
Oh Pat. How tragic. It just shows how quickly our lives can change. My motto now is never take anything for granted and make the most of every day.
A lovely tribute. xx
