Camp fires burning........

The barn conversion on the other side of our fence is slowly coming on but I think it will be next Spring before its inhabitable, a slow job doing up an old building!

They were having a bonfire today, glad the wind was in the right direction!
Photo taken through our new fence.

Happy 4th July to all citizens of the USA.

Three good things:
1. Great Wimbledon matches.
2. My legs feel stronger today with less trembling!
3. Jack is back from Barcelona to fix the little glitch on my iPad. Couldn't get 365 for some reason it was frozen on @sarah19 picture of her grandson Connor!

A lot of thick black smoke there, what are they burning I wonder.

@gamelee I dread to think Lee! It was rubbish out of the barn so could have been anything, not good for the ozone layer!

Not good for your health Pat. Lazy persons way removing rubbish, It's a good job we don't all do it.

Burning rubbish in your garden is not permitted in our country, you risk a ticket.

I can almost hear the crackle of the flames and smell the smoke! Nice barn - with a good view when it's finished?

@gijsje Well I don't think they would like you burning such black smoke making stuff but bonfires are allowed here in the country.some areas in built up areas are smoke free but not here.

It must be exciting seeing the progress of the conversion.. has George Clarke popped in. . Love his programs.

@julzmaioro That would have been good Julz but no just Gary & his team!

@jmj Yes a great view over the fields & views of the Lakeland hills when clear.

Waw !! that is a big billowing . black smoke --I am sure you were glad you didn't have your washing out on the line !!
July 4th, 2016
@beryl Yes I would have been very cross the day before Beryl!
July 4th, 2016
Looks like they're burning tyres - exciting to see the progress.
July 4th, 2016
@jocasta yes I thought that but didn't think there were any tyres in that building, could have been cow mats.
July 4th, 2016
Glad you didn't have washing from your B&B guests out in that lot!!!
Hope the iPad working ok now.......at least it was stuck at a sweet picture!!

A great diary shot. You can show the new neighbours when it's all finished!
July 4th, 2016
Wow... that's a big fire! Great shot.
July 4th, 2016
good job your washing wasn't out Pat
:)
July 4th, 2016
I expect you will be pleased when the work is finished Pat

They must be allowed to burn rubbish on the property out where you are! Kerry's neighbours in Manchester started a fire and she said it was illegal. Certainly the smoke choked most of the neighbours!
July 4th, 2016
@maggiemae Yes no problem with bonfires round here!
July 4th, 2016
@sarah19 Yes indeed Sallie, your little Connor in those big footsteps!

Is the barn being converted into a residence? I have a feeling that's going to be a fabulous conversion! I'm really enjoying the tennis too, Pat! It was so hot here today...a perfect day to stay in with Wimbledon. I was envious of the cool, cloudy weather.

Wow, very black smoke. Hope nobody had their washing out.
July 5th, 2016
Looks like a huge job Pat but will be so worthwhile when it's finished. Good job they lit the bonfire when it would' bother you. That smoke doesn't look very healthy!

@peggysirk Yes Peggy a house with four bedrooms. It will be strange having such close neighbours but we are quite pleased as it doesn't overlook us & perhaps better for any future sale of our place if there are no cattle next door, sounds awful coming from retired farmers but some people don't keep their stock as clean as we did! Loving the tennis, was surprised Andy won so easily last night. I think Krygos (spelt wrong ! ) needs a good coach!
