A good day for a bike ride today so after lunch I took off round the block on my bike ending up in the village.
It is market day on a Wednesday, not a massive one as you can see although there are usually more stalls than this, perhaps some had gone home.
I sat on the bus shelter seat so I could get my bicycle in the photo.
Fish & chip restaurant, newsagent & butchers shop to my right out of sight.
Three good things:
1. My free tickets have arrived for the Country Living Christmas Fair in December.
2. A good sleep pattern at the moment!
3. Lovely autumn days.
its market day in our town as well today. seems to be getting smaller all the time.hope you enjoyed your bile ride . interesting photo. quiet but lots going on if you know what I mean
Market day here as well Pat. Trouble today as a party of travellers had taken up residence where the stalls usually go. You can imagine the scene! Suffice it to say the yravellers have moved on.
@thistle Goodness Joyce that's a serious matter, you were lucky they moved on! There are bales of straw, large stones & all sorts in gateways here to ke them out!
Nice to see everything in this shot including your bicycle! When I started to read your description I thought it was going to say 'took off round the block ending - on my butt"! But glad to see it was just the village!
@maggiemae By round the block I meant over the hill on the main road, down the little country lanes past my SIL house & round by Elswick & back through Great Eccleston. A sort of large square! Glad I wasn't on my butt!
@ladymagpie Yes I did Heather, how did you guess? I got down on my hands & knees to look behind it but never found anything. It was on tarmac so no stone to look under eithe. I think I need to take a torch next time to have a proper look. It had a brick wall covered in Ivy behind but ran my hands all along but still nothing!
I usually know why mine becomes bad but making it good again is more difficult....
