Spring chickens by happypat

Spring chickens

I called in at Cathy's on my way home from Manchester & her hens were enjoying the the garden in the sunshine.

Three good things:
1. A fun time with friends.
2. The biggest, fattest & most delicious club sandwich last night, I could hardly get my mouth round it!
3. Premier Inn advertise on the strength of their comfortable beds. I can agree with them, mine was such a deep mattress that I had to hoist myself up onto, my feet dangled off the floor by a mile!
4. Last but not least it's our youngest sons birthday today, a very happy birthday Anthony! I tried to call him last night after the show, middle of the day in NZ but it didn't work out.
The hens look full of beans - and handsome. (That's not somebody's trouser legs hanging in the tree lol?)

Lucky and happy hens - hope they lay their eggs in the nesting box and not under a bush! A good club sandwich is always my downfall but I try to make it the whole meal. Especially done with ham off the bone!

We are in London too Pat. We were supposed to be at the Fleet Street one but they are refurbishing the restaurant so we've moved to one at Aldgate instead. What are you doing in London? We're going for Sammys birthday treat. He doesn't yet know we are going first class breakfast train down!
May 2nd, 2017
@newbank first class, I love it, such a treat for you all, there's something about eating a proper meal on a train! I am going for a girlie weekend, there are six if us going down to the London Palladium to see Daniel O ' Donnell in a show. He is a friend of ours & ive never been to the Palladium before!
May 2nd, 2017
@newbank we are in the London Bridge one.
May 2nd, 2017
@happypat ooohhh... that was our other option of possible change to! Enjoy.
May 2nd, 2017
They must be very happy hens with a lovely garden like that to play in.
May 2nd, 2017
@newbank to be honest I think the London Bridge one is a bad choice, miles off the Palladium, it's going to take us ages to get across town in the evening rush hour! I would have booked one nearer to Euston myself.
