One of the best books I have ever read….I had to finish it today! Strange feeling of wanting to find out what happens but not wanting to come to the end…I’m sure you’ve all felt the same sometimes.
I sat down this afternoon & finished it….reading too quickly at times & then having to track back to read it properly.
Not everyone’s cup of tea as it’s very brutal in parts but such a clever plot….in fact lots of plots in one!
I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes.
Thank you for all your recent comments on my photos….I have been very bad at replying lately but I assure you I read everyone with great pleasure & interest!
Three good things:
1. Got £40 worth of diesel this morning at my local garage. Just my usual fill up when I got down to 52 miles. Only two cars in front of me & none behind. Some garages had run out of fuel but it’s definitely getting back to normal.
2. We have managed to get the outside cushions dry this afternoon after all this rain but have brought them in over night to make absolutely sure they aren’t damp before we put them away for the winter.
3. Fresh mackerel for tea.
@kwind Thank you Kim, my auntie crocheted it, there is another on the other sofa but smaller & a sort of sage green with mustard edging. Not my colours but looks surprisingly good on the grey sofa.
Another potential suggestion for our book club? I have just finished ‘About Grace’ by Anthony Doerr. I loved his’All the light we cannot see’ and picked this up at Scout sale.
You looking very comfy there.. Crochet blankets/throws are very trendy at the moment and looks great on your couch.. Good to see you in your Allbirds.. I have 4 pairs now.. lol
Love your new sofas & the crocheted blanket...it all looks very homely. Glad you enjoyed the read- I often read too quickly when the plot thickens, too! lol
I have read I am pilgrim. I found it very clever but perhaps too violent for me.
