I remain transfixed by the river. Today I detoured both to and from work, and took a different length of river catching more reflected bridges. In just a short stretch, there are at least 8 different bridges each generating constantly changing artwork displayed on the river surface. As long as the sun is out, there is another set of images to behold. I was quite happy to let this swan glide into the corner here, adding an extra special touch to the composition.
All I have done is slightly reduced the exposure. Given half a chance I would have pulled out the one or two stray dead grasses in the foreground, but the swan would have long since gone by then.
Very much like your other picture but the swan adds an extra element of interest. The shadows seem to be on the neck of the swan too. You could take the grasses out in Photoshop.
@noko411@marshwader@naomi@gaylewood@onewing@paulmann@daisyditch thank you each for your interest in my reflective work. The jury is out on the swan, and even the grass. But that is OK - different things please different people. I have to say, I have enough abstracts from the last week or so to fill a year in 365 - but I can't stop taking them. I'm going for something different for today.
Beautiful composition and reflections Helen, fav for me. I love the placing of the swan in the picture. Do you do any post processing? The grasses don't bother me, but you could easily get rid of them in Photoshop using the spot remover tool, which also works for lines.
@tristansmum thank you again. I could certainly have a go in photoshop. Truth is, I spent so long deciding which of my reflections to post that I had no time left to do any processing.
