Hello world - I hope we are still speaking! It has been quite a day one way and another.
Took a walk amidst the chaos to find that the cycle of life is still continuing. Encountered fluffy bunnies, and cute ducklings at one end of the scale, and a messy ending for this damselfly.
Baby cygnet still has no brothers or sisters when I visited this morning but he or she has been for a swim and is doing ok. There is just one other egg on the nest so I have no idea what happened to the rest.
I'm reminded of that childhood song "the ugly duckling" time and time over when I see the young cygnets along the river. The baby ducklings beat them hands down for cuteness. Perhaps I will post the cute picture tomorrow.
It does look very messy, but I am sure the sun will shine again. Glad you can see a positive in there with the young cygnet. I am sure everything will work out in the end.
This photo does illustrate the mood of the day! I'm sorry this has happened... Much strength and hope to you and to the world - and I agree with Kali's words... Unlike you (your tag!) I must keep hearing only because I'm far away and don't hear about it as much... Anyway - I am sorry also about the swan eggs missing... I wonder what happened? I wonder if the last one will hatch... Glad to know the little one is doing ok though.
