I met a friend at Grafham water today, where we walked and talked in the bitter cold and grey, then had a late leisurely lunch in a nearby pub. Great to catch up, but not so for photography. I snapped this one just before she arrived at the car park, and then the camera wasn't out for the rest of the day.
The fishermen further round the water were stood thigh deep fly fishing. how they stand the cold, I have no idea.
@domenicododaro Thank you Domenico. Your comment most welcome. @rosiekind thanks Rosie @onewing Thank you Babs. It was a good spot for me - drawn by the changes in the water. @naomi chilly - it most certainly was! @jerome thank you Jerome. A very calm and quiet place. Your comments much appreciated by me. @maggiemae thanks Maggiemae - for this and all your generous attention to my project. @cruiser thank you Chris for this observation. Your comments are most welcome. @taffy thank you Taffy. It I had thought a little, I might have waited for the boat to move a little further across. My fingers were frozen though and I was quite pleased in the end as to how this came out. @linjoyce thanks lin. The light attracted me in the first instance. Your comments most welcome. @ziggy77 Thanks for your kind comment. @helenm2016 Yes, simple but effective. Thank you. @flowerfairyann we had a two hour walk and then a well deserved lunch in a local pub. perfect catch up time!
Lovely lines in this one, and the composition is just right. He looks cold! I also like the different textures in the water and then the smoothness in the horizon.
