Not the best of robin shots - I am constantly seeing amazing ones on this site. However, I love the shape of this robin in profile, and I am trying to save you from another breakfast shot!
This morning, I decided to remove the peel of an orange in one long winding strip and see what I could make of this photographically. Disaster. I overslept - leaving little time to stumble around half awake trying to be creative. And then, the best I could manage was a pile of short strips and a rather white looking peeled orange which failed to divide neatly into segments. Am I the only one with such difficulties on this project? Ill post the best of my efforts on the other album.
The robin, I spotted against the early evening light on my way back from the latest hospital appointment. Hurrah, my eye operation was a success on the third attempt and I do not have to have the procedure any more times! I daren't go any closer to the robin and so this was the best I could manage with the zoom on my friendly Panasonic.
Yes, definitely orange here Helen. I always feel very privileged when I get close to robins but have only ever managed one decent shot. Well done on this one.
I think you've got really nice focus and I also like the profile picture. I don't think you're alone with the frustration of the rainbow project. "Northy" has also expressed the same feelings. I admire your tenacity.
I am so impressed you got a photo of a bird! Every time I try, they fly away. He looks poised for flight...and those tiny feet...so delicate and adorable.
