Exploring Fake News

Today's picture has been more of a journey in my head than anything else. Forgive me for the obscurity but I reckoned this is the place to experiment, so here we go.

I awoke with the word red in my head. This is what 365 is doing to me. any of the following would have been of more practical use - eye drops, lunch, bank cheque - but no, just red. Somehow I got thinking about red lips, and how most lips are anything but red, but ask any child and they would say lips are red. I never wear lipstick (allergies) and so had the idea to take a picture of my lips and enhance the colour to create my red for the day.

And here I am, eating toast. Only I have changed the toast to a block of facts. Things that I absorb every day as facts - facts filtered by my choice of what to believe and by the medias choice of what to present. Fascinated by the whole argument regarding fake news, I spent a part of my day pondering over what might define fake news. I ended up taking a photograph of newspapers and changing the words to red - another question being asked about what defines real and fake.

Oh well - in my defence - I did go to a Wolfgang Tillman's exhibition on Saturday, so have clearly picked up on some of his thinking.

And I got my red. So, lets move on!
This took a bit of organising but you have the red!

I liked the window into your thinking and how you ended up with such a creative image for the day.

Experimentation is a good way to move forward. I like your process.

I like your thoughts and your ways of looking at life, of judging the world. But you know that already...

@maggiemae @rvm @taffy @evalieutionspics @jerome thank you all. There is lots I want to change about this, but as you say - a learning exercise. I hope I got my point across - if not by the picture, atleast by the text.
